Mysore, Sep 2 (UNI) Karnataka Chief Minister H D Kumraswamy today said an all-party delegation from the state would meet Prime Minister Manmohan Singh soon, to seek funds for flood relief in the state.

Speaking to newspersons here, he said he would be going to Delhi for a two-day visit from September 9 and meet Dr Singh and Home Minister Shivraj Patil to fix a date for the meeting. The state suffered badly in the severe floods following heavy rains in many districts in the state.

About transfer of power to BJP, he said it would take place on October 3, as agreed upon by the alliance partners.

About his overnight stay in a city slum tonight, he said he was perturbed to know that the slum dwellers remained there for years without any improvement in their living conditions.

''Without a house or basic amenities they pull along their life.

My government want to provide homes to as many slum dwellers as possible. We are doing our maximum to do this under various projects, including JNNURM,'' he said.

The Chief Minister was in the city on a two-day visit to Mysore and Chamarajanagara districts.
