Kolkata, Sep 1 (UNI) Left Front Chairman Biman Bose today alleged that the USA wanted a military base camp in South East Asia by signing the Indo-USA nuclear deal.

" The USA has no large military base camp in South East Asia and is trying to set up a colony in India by signing the Indo-USA nuke deal, " Mr Bose said in the "Anti-War and Peace Day" rally here.

He said, " If our foreign policy is dictated by the USA, the country's internal infrastructure would be harmed. " He alleged that the Central government was cutting short financial assistance in education and social sectors as instructed by the USA.

He said, " The Left Front has every responsibility to make people aware of the deal and we will not allow any agreement, which will jeopardise our country's sovereignty. " "India's Hyde Act agreement and the joint naval exercise with the USA are causing bad blood with other countries, " he stated.

" The USA has a huge stock of arms and now they are trying to sell out those arms to India, " Mr Bose added.

He also alleged that the USA did not want any development of other countries and said if they really wanted the uplift of other countries, they should immediately withdraw their troops from Iraq and Afghanistan.
