Pradeep Bhargava is new director of GB Pant Institute

Allahabad, Sep 1 (UNI) Dr Pradeep Bhargava today took charge as the new director of Govind Ballabh Pant Social Science Institute here.

Dr Bhargava has served as a professor of the Institute of Development Studies, Jaipur, for 12 years and has keen interest in rural development, poverty and human rights issues.

He has been using theatre for social action and education of the masses.

Dr Bhargava has published two books on political economy of Sri Lanka and gulf states, besides co-editing three books on poverty reduction and agricultural development.
