IOB mulls opening branches in New Zealand, Dubai, China
Machiliapatnam, Sep 1 (UNI) The Indian Overseas Bank (IOB) is planning to open three more overseas branches in New Zealand, Dubai and China.
Talking to newspersons, after inaugurating a new branch here today, IOB General Manager D K Patel said to cater to the increasing number of its customers, the bank was planning to set up 300 more ATMs in the country.
He said the bank had over 1800 branches at present, including the overseas branches in Sri Lanka, Honkong, Singapore, Seoul and Bangkok.
The bank had registered a turnover of Rs 1.17 lakh crore during the last fiscal.
In Vijayawada region, the bank had disbursed loans to the tune of Rs 520 crore to agriculture sector and would disburse Rs 600 crore to agriculture sector this year.
