Bangla woman held in Hyd twin blasts

Hyderabad, Sep 1: The Special Investigation Team (SIT), probing into the twin blasts that rocked the city on August 25, today arrested a Bangladeshi woman in this regard based on the information of locals in old city.

Police sources said SIT arrested Ms Shafirafsanjani when she was moving around under suspicious circumstancs, in the historical Charminar area. The locals informed the police.

SIT police immediately swung into action and arrested the woman, who lived in the city along with her family members. Police seized her driving licence and PAN card from her possession. She did not have a passport.

Her family members -- were absconding. Search was intensified to nab them.

Police is interrogating the woman about her family background and her alleged links with banned terrorist organisations.
