ASI signs MoU with Royal Aeronautical Society

Bangalore, Sept 1 (UNI) The Aeronautical Society of India (ASI) today signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Royal Aeronautical Society of the United Kingdom to usher in a higher degree of cooperation between the two premier institutions in the aviation field in respective countries.

The MoU was signed by ASI President V Thulsidas, who is also the Chairman of National Aviation Company of India, formed after the merger of Indian with Air India and Mr David Marshall, President of the Royal Aeronautical Society of the UK.

The MoU would enable ASI become a member of its UK counterpart, which had been given the status of a Corporate member by the Indian Society.

The protocol supported a closer working between the two societies through exchange of technical and other information relevant to various areas of Aeronautical and Space Sciences, sponsorship of joint scientific activities. At least two joint events would be held in India under the cooperation.

The two societies would also exchange their respective journals and magazines and encourage their members to publish research and technical papers in each other's journals.
