Two dead, 23 injured in Kashmir accidents

Srinagar, Aug 31 (UNI) Two people were killed and 23 others were injured in separate accidents in Kashmir overnight, official sources said today.

A report from Baramulla said that a Sumo turned turtle at Muran resulting in injuries to three people. The injured were admitted to hospital where one Attaullah died.

A pedestrian died when a bus hit a motorcycle at Purchoo in South Kashmir district of Pulwama, and the injured motorcyclist was hospitalised, the sources said.

In another incident, a CRPF jawan, on Road Opening Duty, Somnath of 163 battalion was injured when a vehicle hit him at Zeli, Pampore, on Srinagar-Jammu national highway today.

In Parimpora, nine people have been injured when a vehicle, in which they were travelling, skidded off the road and fell in the open field, sources informed. The injured were hospitalised.

Ten other people were injured in different road accidents in the valley today, sources added.
