Gujarat: Thieves steal girl's medals

Anand, Aug 31: Burglars have made away with 28 medals won by Divya Parmar, an eleventh standard student who is an yoga demonstrator and resides at Borsad near here.

Divya had won 20 gold medals, five silver and three bronze medals on various occasions for her yoga skills. Most of these medals had come her way from the state government.

Divya had kept the medals in a cupboard in her house.

Unidentified persons broke open the cupboard on August 27 and stole the medals, according to the complaint lodged by Divya's father, Dinesh Dodabhai Parmar, with the police.
