September 3 sitting of Parliament cancelled

The
sitting
of
Parliament
on
September
3
has
been
cancelled,
it
was
officially
announced
today.
A decision to this effect was taken at a meeting of the Business Advisory Committee (BAC) yesterday, Lok Sabha Speaker Somnath Chatterjee informed the House during Zero Hour.
A similar announcement was made by Rajya Sabha Deputy Chairman K Rahman Khan during Zero Hour.
September 4 being a holiday on account of Janmashtami, the MPs will get four days holiday at a stretch.
There are no sittings on September 1 and 2, being Saturday and Sunday.
