SCCI to organise business meet on oct 4

Hyderabad, Aug 31 (UNI) SAARC Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SCCI) President Dasho Ugen Tsechup Dorji today said the SCCI would organise a meeting with the businessmen and entrepreneurs of seven- member SAARC countries on October 4 in New Delhi.

Talking to newspersons here on the sidelines of a workshop for the underprivileged rural women, organised by SAARC Chamber Women Entrepreneurs Council (SCWEC), Mr Dorji said the meeting would discuss the difficulties faced by the businessmen from the member countries. Besides, it would also prepare an action plan to promote business among the SAARC countries.

Stating that the member countries were facing difficulties to boost their trade due to several factors, including weak bilateral relations, he said common currency for SAARC countries would also be discussed in the meeting.

Earlier, Mr Dorji inaugurated a two-month training workshop for rural women and dropouts, which would provide computer training, personnel skills and employment opportunities to them.
