During the intra-day session, the unit later fell to 41.96/98 per dollar, massively down from its opening level, and is currently trading at this level, said a senior forex dealer with a public sector bank.
Spurred by the brightening inflow margins and positive economic outlook of RBI expressed in its annual report, the unit may scale further up in the coming week and may reach even up to 40.70-75 per dollar, he said.
According to dealers, market is still trading at extremely volatile margins on account of the investor concern over the general slow down and expected corrective measures from the central bank.
