Ramzan festivities from Sept 14: Minister

Hyderabad, Aug 31 (UNI) Andhra Pradesh Minister for Energy, Coal and Minority Welfare Mohd Ali Shabbir said Ramzan festivities will begin from September 14.

Talking to reporters after a review meeting with the officials of the AP Transco, Hyderabad Water and Sewerage Board, Transport and other departments, he said uninterrupted power supply would be provided in the city and outskirts during the festival.

He said a special control room, to function round the clock, would be set up at Haj House. Efforts would be made to provide sufficient gas cylinders.

A review meeting to be conveyed by Chief Minister Y S Rajasekhara Reddy with police officials, would decide on security measures, he added.
