MCD Director remanded to seven-day CBI custody
New Delhi, Aug 31 (UNI) A special CBI court today remanded the Director of Delhi Slums, arrested in connection with the slum resettlement land allotment scam, to seven days' police custody.
S N S Sidhu, Director, Slum Upgradation and Development, was arrested after he was summoned by the CBI to the CGO complex office last evening.
He was produced before CBI Judge S K Kaushik, who handed down the order.
The CBI had sought his custody to interrogate him regarding certain missing files and also to confront him with the other accused arrested in the case.
Sidhu's name figures in the second CBI FIR along with land scam kingpin Ashok Malhotra, in the case related to fraudulent allotment of land in the Mularbund jhuggi rehabilitation plan.
