Manjula Subramanyam takes over as Gujarat chief secretary
Gandhinagar, Aug 31 (UNI) Dr Manjula Subramanyam today took charge as the new Gujarat chief secretary from Sudhir Mankad.
Having served as additional chief secretary in finance department for the past three years, Dr Subramanyam has held charge as chief secretary of the electricity and petrochemical department and board chairperson of Gujarat Electricity Board.
She has also served as joint secretary in the Prime Minister's Office during the tenure of P V Narasimha Rao, I K Gujaral, H D Deve Gowda and Atal Bihari Vajpayee.
A post-graduate in physics from the Delhi University, Dr Subramanyam also holds a post-graduate degree in public administration from Howard University and has received a PhD in economics from Sardar Patel University of Vallabh Vidhyanagar.
