Guj: Man tries to kill daughter, attempts suicide

Anand, Aug 31: A man, who had a dispute with his wife, attempted to kill his daughter by making her drink some poison while he himself tried to commit suicide by consuming the same.

Both the child and the man are battling for their lives in a private hospital here.

Police said Shilpa, wife of Praveen Mohanbhai Vankar, had left her husband following the dispue and come to her parental home along with the daughter.

Praveen met his wife yesterday and requested her to return back with him. She, however, refused. Praveen said he would like to be with his daughter for some time to which Shilpa agreed. Praveen took the child and made her drink the poison while he also consumed the same, police said.
