Man and two sons arrested for setting fire to tenant's house

Barrackpore, Aug 31 (UNI) A man and his two sons were arrested for setting fire to their tenants house at Bankra-Bisharpara under Airport police station in North 24 Parganas today.

Police said the three were arrested following an FIR by a city police sergeant Jaspal Singh, who was a tenant with the accused.

Singh in his FIR state that the accused sprinkled petrol into his house through the window and set it on fire.

He also alleged that as the accused son's were the members of the ruling party the police was hesitant to arrest them initially.
