Life imprisonment to former ministers son in murder case

Nawada, Aug 31 (UNI) A local court today awarded life sentence to Saurabh Singh, son of a former animal husbandry minister Aditya Singh, and former block pramukh of Narhat block Ashok Yadav in a murder case.

The court had earlier acquitted the former animal husbandry minister, his other son Suman Singh and another accused in the murder case in want of proof while it had held Saurabh Singh and Ashok Yadav guilty of the murder.

According to the charges the accused had shot dead Rakesh Singh and Jay Singh near Kazi house under Narhat police station of Nawada district on December 27, 2005. Seven people were named accused in the case. Another accused was absconding.
