LIC Mysore division achieves 59.44 per cent growth
Mysore, Aug 31 (UNI) The Mysore division of the LIC has registered a growth of over 59.44 per cent than the previous year and garnered Rs 110.37 crore by way of first premium, Senior Divisional Manager Jyothi Kumar Sen said here today.
Speaking newspersons on the eve of the LIC's 51st anniversary Mr Sen said more satellite branches would be opened in the division.
He said the division had sold over 1,40,487 policies and registered a growth of over 116.09 per cent. The LIC's Mysore division's claim ratio was outstanding with 0.14 per cent at the end of this year. The division had settled 6,857 death claims and disbursed over Rs 40 crore to its policy holders. The survival benefits of over Rs 200 crore was also settled during 2006-07.
Presently the LIC had online facilities for paying premium and it was also proposed to extend the facility even for the payment of claims in the near future, he added.
