K'taka to restart Mahitisindhu programme: Official

Bangalore, Aug 31 (UNI) The Karnataka Government will resume the ambitious 'Mahitisindhu' programme, aimed to implement Computer Education in state-run High Schools, M N Vidyashankar, Secretary Department of IT and BT said today.

Addressing newspersons after launching the Rural IT Quiz-2007, here, he said the Mahitisindhu programme, discontinued for sometime, would be resumed in all the High Schools in the state.

The programme launched in 2001, ended in December 2005 and taking into consideration the popularity of the programme and demand for its continuation, it would be resumed with added content, he added.
