K'taka to continue Mahitisindhu programme: Official

Bangalore, Aug 31 (UNI) The Karnataka Government will continue the ambitious 'Mahitisindhu' programme, aimed to introduce Computer Education in state-run High Schools, M N Vidyashankar, Secretary Department of IT and BT said today.

Addressing newspersons after launching the Rural IT Quiz-2007, here he said that the Mahitisindhu programme, which was discontinued for some time would be resumed in all High Schools in the state.

He said the programme launched in 2001 ended in 2005 December and taking into consideration the popularity of the programme there had been lot of demand for its continuation. It would be resumed with added content, he added.
