Kamal Nath hopes for Indo-Thai trade growth after FTA
New Delhi, Aug 31 (UNI) Union Commerce and Industry Minister Kamal Nath today expressed hopes for new trade heights between India and Thailand, following culmination of negotiations for free trade agreement (FTA) between the two nations.
He said this while welcoming the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Industry of Thailand Kosit Panpiemras during the Indo-Thai bilateral talks which began here today. Senior Officials of both the countries were present during the talks, Commerce Ministry said in a statement.
FTA negotiations, underway, cover trade in goods, services and investments, including issues such as rules of origin, trade facilitation, anti-dumping and safeguard measures and dispute settlement mechanism, which will benefit both the nations, the statement said.
