Justice Veena Birbal takes oath as HC Judge

New Delhi, Aug 31 (UNI) President Pratibha Patil today appointed Justice Veena Birbal as Delhi High Court Judge.

The oath was adminstered at the premises of Delhi High Court by Chief Justice M K sharma where all judges of the High Court and lawyers were present.

Justice Birbal has been elevated to the High Court from the post of Additional Sessions Judge at Tis Hazari Court. She had graduated from Miranda House in Delhi and completed her Law degree from Delhi University.

She remained a district judge and was also Secratary in the Law and Justice Department of Delhi.
