Jalandhar Division Deputy Director Panchayats suspended

Chandigarh, Aug 31 (UNI) The Punjab Government has suspended Jalandhar Divisional Deputy Director Panchayats Jaspal Singh with immediate effect and initiated an inquiry against him.

Rural Development and Panchayats Minister Ranjit Singh Brahampura said here today that the Deputy Director was suspended after receiving complaints from his subordinate officers about corruption charges against him. During his suspension Jaspal Singh's headquarter would be at Chandigarh.

The Minister informed that Director Rural Development and Panchayats would hold inquiry into this matter.

The Divisional Deputy Director of Ferozepur has been asked to hold the additional charge of Divisional Deputy Director Panchayats Jalandhar.
