Health cards to be provided on BPL scheme from Nov 1:Minister

Tirupati, Aug 31(UNI) Minister for Medical Education Gall Aruna Kumari today said Andhra Pradesh Government would provide health cards all eligible persons under Below Proverty Line(BPL) scheme, under Aryogasri programme in five districts from Nov one.

Talking to newspersons here, she said the scheme would provide free medical treatment at corporate hospitals for cronic ailments, including heart and kidney to BPL patients on trial basis.

The Minister said stern action would be initiated against the doctors who are working in private hospitals under the pretext of leave. A plan is on the anvil to shift some doctors on deputation to their home towns, she added.
