HAFED builds godowns at nine places in Haryana

Chandigarh, Aug 31 (UNI) HAFED has constructed godowns of 65,560 metric tonnes capacity at nine stations during last 30 months under the credit linked capital investment subsidy scheme launched by Union Ministry of Agriculture and Cooperation.

The places where godowns have been set up were Matlaudha, Gohana, Murthal, Ghasaula, Tohana, Uklana, Kanina, Ateli and Kuslipur.

Minister of State for Cooperation Meena Mandal said here today that HAFED had received 50 per cent subsidy as advance against these godowns. Besides, the 50 per cent subsidy would be received by the HAFED soon.

Ms Mandal said that HAFED had already had the storage capaciy of eight lakh metric tonnes of godowns besides seven lakh metric tonnes capacity of plinths at various stations in the state.
