Fake passport case: Court grants bail to accused
Hyderabad, Aug 31 (UNI) A city court today granted bail to one of the accused in the fake passport case that came to light after the arrest of BJP MP Babubhai Katara in New Delhi.
The 12th Additional Metropolitan Magistrate granted bail to Shoaib Jagirdar, who was arrested from Jalna in Maharashtra. He was a close associate of Sameer, who was stated to be a member of Lashkar-e-Toiba.
Shoaib was picked up from Jalna in a joint operation by the Anti-Terrorist Squad of the Maharashtra police and a team of Hyderabad city police.
Shoaib had visited Hyderabad in February 2007 and stayed with Sameer in the city to secure a fake passport for the latter for ''jihadi purpose''.
