Experts Body for jewellery sector set up:Govt

New Delhi, Aug 31 (UNI) An experts body to look into the potential of the gems and jewellery sector was set up on March 31 last year, the Lok Sabha was informed today.

Minister of State for Finance S S Palanimanickam, in a written reply, said the body would also examine the prevalent taxation practices in India and abroad and make recommendations for the holistic development of the sector.
