Dismissed armyman nabbed with poppy husk

Phagwara, Aug 31 (UNI) Police today arrested one dismissed army man Dalip Singh and another Bikramjit Singh and recovered 35 kg of poppy husk near local Guru Nanakpura today.

Phagwara DSP HPS Khakh told newspersons here today that accused Dalip Singh, a resident of Gwalior in Madhya Pradesh was dismissed from Army Signal Corps in the year 2004 and became involved in the narcotic smuggling under the cover of military uniform.

He arrests were made under section 15/61/85 NDPS act.

UNI
