Director Slums arrested by CBI in land allotment scam

New Delhi, Aug 31 (UNI) The CBI has arrested the Director of Delhi Slums in connection with the jhuggi-jhopri resettlement land allotment scam.

S N S Sidhu, Director, Slum Upgradation and Development, was arrested after being summoned to the CGO complex office last evening, a CBI spokesman here said.

''He will be produced before a court today where his custody would be sought.'' After that, his interrogation will begin on his involvement in the scam, he added.

Sidhu, whose name figures in the CBI FIR along with DDA land scam kingpin Ashok Malhotra, allegedly conspired with MCD officials in the allotment of land in the Molatbund jhuggi rehabilitation plan.
