Depressed HCL engineer hangs self in Mayur Vihar

New Delhi, Aug 31 (UNI) Upset over an unhappy marriage, a software engineer of a multi-national company allegedly committed suicide by hanging himself in Mayur Vihar area of East Delhi, police said today.

Newly married Sanjay Kumar Bhatt (32), working with HCL Computers- Noida, was found hanging at his Mayur Vihar III residence late last evening by his brother who works in a Noida mall.

Bhatt was alone when he took the extreme step as his wife Rajni had gone to her father's place in Jammu and his brother Ashwini, who lived with him, was in office.

Hailing from Jammu, Sanjay, who got married in January this year, was reportedly depressed as his wife wanted a divorce, allegedly on account of his impotency.

A two-line suicide note said he was ending his life on his own will and no one was to be blamed for it.

The body has been sent to Lal Bahadur Shastri Hospital for a postmortem after which it will be taken to Jammu, police added.

Sanjay was living in Mayur Vihar Phase III, Pocket 'A', on rent for the past nearly four years.
