CPI cadres plant saplings on roads in Puducherry

Puducherry, Aug 31 (UNI) To draw the attention of the administration on the pathetic road conditions in Lawspet area, volunteers of the local CPI unit today resorted to a novel agitation by planting paddy saplings in the middle of the road.

With the roads in the area in bad condition and their request to the authorities to repair the roads not heeded to, the volunteers assembled at Pethichettipet in Lawspet constituency and planted the saplings.

They raised slogans criticising the government for continuing to neglect the roads in the Lawspet area.
