Bush says markets turmoil take time to play out
WASHINGTON, Aug 31 (Reuters) U.S. President George W. Bush, announcing a package of measures to help homeowners struggling to pay their mortgages amid the subprime loan crisis, said on Friday the market turmoil stemming from the problem will take time to play out.
But he said the subprime market woes represent only a small part of the economy and would not undermine what he said were sound fundamentals.
