BJP's minority cell to organise seminar on Wakf

Mumbai, Aug 31 (UNI) In the backdrop of controversy surrounding the Wakf Board properties being allegedly swallowed by Congress-NCP leaders, Maharashtra BJP has organised a seminar on 'Wakf' tomorrow, which will be attended by BJP's Minority Cell president Shahanavaz Hussain.

Talking to reporters, Maharashtra BJP Minority Cell general secretary Abdul Rashid Ansari said former union minister Ram Naik, city BJP chief Prakash Mehta and Vinod Tavade will also participate in the seminar.

''All the Wakf land given to other persons should be given back to the Wakf Board,'' Mr Ansari demanded.

It may be recalled that Maharashtra has a total Wakf property of Rs 80,000 crore and property of Rs 10,000 crore was allegedly swallowed by the political leaders and others.
