30 held for gambling in separate incidents

Nadiad, Gujarat, Aug 31 (UNI) Thirty persons were held for gambling from three different places in Kheda district in the wee hours today.

The raids were carried out jointly by the Kheda crime branch sleuths, the local police and the Gandhinagar vigilance squad.

Police raided a house in Sardarnagar at 04:30 hrs today and arrested ten persons. Cash, two mobile phones, and a motorcycle, totally worth Rs 45,650, were seized from those arrested.

At Katlal, the Gandhinagar vigilance squad arrested seven persons and seized Rs 67,050 in cash and gadgets.

Earlier, at 02:00 hrs, thirteen people were arrested from Kapadvanj and Rs 30,955 in cash and equipments seized.
