2 month ban on possession of weapons in Ahmedabad
Ahmedabad, Aug 31 (UNI) To prevent any untoward incidents in the forthcoming festive season of Navratri, City Police Commissioner J Mahapatra has banned the possession of weapons, firearms, explosive substances and other lethal weapons for a period of two months starting from September one.
The ban also covers provocative speeches or public gatherings, processions and demonstrations in any place in the city during the next two months, an official notification stated here today.
The City Police Chief has also banned the assembly of more than four persons in public places from September 1 to 15, the notification added.
