Weil's fever claims six lives in Kozhikode

Kozhikode, Aug 30 (UNI) Weil's disease has claimed six lives in this district during this month, District Medical Officer K Damodaran said today.

The deaths were reported from different parts of the district, he told UNI here.

As many as 34 such cases were diagnosed since January 2007, he added.

The district administration had taken various steps to contain the spread of the disease on a war-footing, he claimed.
