Warrant of arrest against husband, his brother in dowry case

Madhubani, Aug 30 (UNI) A local court today issued warrant of arrest against husband and his brother of a dowry victim in connection with a case lodged here.

Chief Judicial Magistrate of Madhubani issued warrant of arrest against one Raman Kumar Mishra--the husband of the victim Sunita Devi and her brother in-law Gopal Mishra and directed the police to produce them before the court.

The CJM issued warrant of arrest on the basis of the case lodged in his court by the victim alleging that her husband and in-laws were doing all kinds of atrocities on her to extort dowry. The National Women Commission had also issued instruction to state authorities to look into the matter.
