New Delhi, Aug 30 (UNI) The UPA Government and the Left parties are understood to have resolved their differences over the Indo- US nuclear deal and agreed on the constitution of a political mechanism to evaluate the implications of the implementation of the controversial Hyde Act.

An indication to this effect came this afternoon from a top CPI(M) leader, who participated in a meeting of the four Left parties to discuss the text prepared by the government on the setting of the political mechanism.

Reacting to the controversy over the size and the composition of the panel, the CPI(M) leader said ''there are no differences now on the setting up of the panel.'' He said ''we are just now going to the Prime Minister's residence where the announcement is to be made.'' It is understood that the government has assured the Left parties that it would not take any step to operationalise the deal until their concerns were addressed.
