Teachers name announced for Teachers Award

Shimla, Aug 30 (UNI) The Himachal Pradesh Government today announced the names of teachers selected for this year's Teachers' Award.

Mr Padam Singh, Mrs Hari Priya, Mr Sohan Lal Sharma, Mr Ram Kumar Kaul, and Mrs Leela Devi Ghai, Central Head Teacher, Government Primary School have been selected for this year's award, an official spokesman today said.

He said state Governor V S Kokje would honour them on the Teachers Day on September five 2007 at a function at Raj Bhawan.

The teachers would be given a cash award of Rs 25,000 besides a citation and a medal, he said.

Mr Prem Chand Aggarwal, Mr Yudhishtra Mehta and Mr Roshan Lal Sharma have been also selected for National Award 2006 at Vigyan Bhawan at New Delhi on September five.
