Rs 8 cr sanctioned for flood-lighting 22 monuments in Rajasthan

Bikaner, Aug 30 (UNI) The Union Tourism Ministry has sanctioned a budget of Rs eight crore for flood-lighting 22 historical monuments including Junagarh Fort in Rajasthan to woo more tourists.

Apart from Junagarh Fort, other monuments in Jaipur, Jodhpur, Kota, Udaipur, Sawai Madhopur and Jaisalmer would also be flood-lit.

Assistant Director, Tourism, M M Arya said the project in Junagarh would be completed by November this year. Apart from lights, a laser show has also been planned for Fort to inform about its history.
