Razing of bungalows in Lucknow: Petition put to cause list

Lucknow, Aug 30 (UNI) Allahabad High Court today put on the next cause list for hearing, an application praying Mayawati be made a party in an under-consideration petition related to the razing of government bungalows in the posh Mall Avenue area of the Uttar Pradesh capital.

A single-judge bench comprising Justice Vikramnath passed this order on the application filed by Uttar Pradesh Janhit Sangathan.

The court ordered that the matter be put on the next cause list for hearing.

The petition has expressed apprehension that four more bungalows could be demolished in the area, which it claimed was a contempt of court.
