Raje gets HC notice in Deen Dayal land case
Jaipur, Aug 30: Rajasthan Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje has received a notice from the state High Court in connection with Pt Deen Dayal Upadhaya Trust land deal controversy.
The Chief Minister's counsel Jagmohan Saxena informed the High Court bench of R M Lodha and Justice Mahesh Chandra Sharma today during the case hearing.
The High Court had sent notices to the Chief Minister thrice earlier, which were not received.
Advocate Sushil Sharma had lodged a PIL in this case. His counsel Lokesh Sharma and Laxmikant Sharma had then urged the High Court to send the next notice through registered post.
The next hearing of the case would be conducted on September 10.
Notably, Ms Raje was the chairperson of the Deen Dayal Upadhyaya Trust, which was allotted prime land in city's posh area of Civil Lines, flouting land rules. However, the allotment was cancelled the after allegations surfaced.
