Policemen to be booked for assaulting scribe

Narsinghpur, MP, Aug 30 (UNI) Madhya Pradesh Health Minister Ajay Vishnoi has issued directive for registering criminal case against seven police officials for beating up journalist Deepak Shrivastava here.

Protest demonstrations were being staged by local journalist for the last nine days here demanding action against the errant police officials involved in assaulting the journalist on August 17.

The protest was called off after assurance of action by the state health minister Mr Ajay Vishnoi yesterday.

''Orders had been issued to register criminal cases against the policemen'', Mr Vishnoi said.
