MP: Policemen booked for assaulting scribe

Narsinghpur(MP), Aug 30: Health Minister Ajay Vishnoi has issued directives to register criminal case against seven police officials for beating up journalist Deepak Shrivastava.

Local journalists, who were staging dharna for the last nine days demanding action against police officials involved in assaulting the journalist on August 17, lifted their strike on the assurance of the minister, who met the aggrieved people yesterday.

''Orders had been issued to register criminal cases against the policemen'', Mr Vishnoi said.
