Person resembling sketch of blast accused arrested
Hyderabad, Aug 30 (UNI) Police today arrested a man resembling the sketch of the person, allegedly involved in the August 25 twin bomb blasts, and later released him after ascertaining he had no connection with the blasts.
According to police sources, a passenger travelling in an RTC bus proceeding to Hyderabad from Nalgonda, spotted a person bearing resemblance to the accused, the sketch of whom was released by the police yesterday and informed the police.
The police intercepted the vehicle at Malakpet and took the person, who was travelling with his family members, into custody.
Poice said the person indentified himself as Rajesh Singh, a resident of the Toli Chowki Area of the city and working in a restaurant at Gachi Bowli.
After interrogation, police came to the conclusion that Rajesh Singh was not connected with the crime and released him after taking his particulars, ascertaining his address and an affidavit in writing.
Meanwhile, police have intensified search for the accused in sensitive places in the city along with dog squads.
