PCC to participate in all party meeting : Pradip

Kolkata, Aug 30 (UNI) The West Bengal Congress has decided to participate in the Chief Minister Buddhadeb Bhattacharjee-called all party meeting on September three for setting up chemical hub in the state.

Talking to newspersons here today, West Bengal Pradesh Congress Committee working president Pradip Bhattacharjee said all the party leaders had agreed to join it.

He said, " We may differ with the government on the issue, but it is necessary for us to attend the proposed meeting for placing our party's version. " " Earlier, we have urged the Chief Minister for taking a decision of setting up a chemical hub by discussing with all the political parties. The Chief Minister told in the beginning that it will be Petroleum, Chemical, Petrochemical Investment Region (PCPIR) and needed 10,000 acre of land, but now he is saying it would be the expansion of petro chemical complex, which requires 4,000 acre, " he said.

" We have no clear picture of the project and the PCC would take decision after receiving the all party meeting delegation report, " he said.

The two-members of the Congress delegation were Congress Legislature Party(CLP) leader in the Assembly Manas Bhuinya and MLA Sudip Bandopadhyay.
