New Chief of Staff of Coast Guard Region

Port Blair, Aug 30 (UNI) Deputy Inspector General NV Narasimha has taken over as Chief of Staff at Headquarters Coast Guard Region (Andaman and Nicobar), officials said here today.

''NV Narshimha has succeeded Deputy Inspector General KS Sheoran, who has been transferred to Mumbai,'' Indian Coast Guard PRO Commandant Akshay Jain told UNI today.

''Prior to this appointment, he was the Commanding Officer of an Offshore Patrol Vessel ICGS Vajra at Visakhapatnam,'' Commandant Jain said.

''He had previously also been appointed as Commander Coast Guard District Headquarter-10 at Campbell Bay and Commanding Officer ICGS Kanaklata Barua at Port Blair,'' the PRO said.
