Man sentenced to 10 years RI for rape by Anand court

Anand, Aug 30 (UNI) A Fast track court sentenced a man to 10 years rigorous imprisonment for raping a girl in 2004.

The accused Shankarbhai Chauhan was also fined Rs 900 and in case of default, an additional sentence of three months.

Chauhan was arrested for rape of a 13-year-old girl in 2004, alongwith two women who had allegedly abetted the crime.

The judge, however, released the two women for lack of evidence.
