Chennai, Aug 30: US-based leading education and childcare company Knowledge Learning Corporation (KLC) will invest five million US Dollars in 2008 for enabling its ally Childcare Online Services Pvt Ltd (COS) to become state-of-the-art technology provider for the education market in India.

Talking to newspersons here yesterday, KLC Chief Information Officer John Hnanicek said ''subsequent to our acquisition of COS, we are on an accelerated expansion mode and plan to add another 100 people to our team by the end of this year with an investment of five million US Dollars into Indian operations.'' Childcare services being a niche market would allow us to explore and reach out to provide our product to all childcare centres around the globe, he added.

He said KLC would be launching a new software product COS to efficiently facilitate increased enrolments, provide better service to families registered with various centres and reduce operating costs.

''The COS, developed in Chennai, will revolutionise the way childcare and education centres are managed globally by improving efficiency and productivity by more than 50 per cent,'' he claimed.
