Karnataka to come out with new Textile Policy in next two weeks

Bangalore, Aug 30 (UNI) Karnataka Minister for Textiles Appasaheb Pattanashetti today said that the state government will comeout with a new Textle Policy in the next two weeks time for creating five lakh jobs in the next five years.

Talking to newsmen here, he said that the government would invest Rs 100 crore each year for creating one lakh jobs each year for youth in ready made garment sector.

He said a Training Centre would be set up to provide training with stipend to the youth.

The government will soon create new 56 posts for implementation of the scheme, he added.

The new policy was being given final touch and would be announced in the next 15 days, he added.
